The Yellow Hibiscus (Pua Aloalo) is the state flower in Hawai'i. They can be turned into tea or sticky paste used to blow bubbles with papaya branches by kids in the Philippines.
The Bird of Paradise (Crane Flower), originated in Southern Africa and has a unique bird-like shape. This flower resemble beauty and grace, just like a swan or crane.
Plumeria's are a very popular flower in Hawai'i and are used for lei (flower necklaces). They are most fragrant at night to attract moths for pollination.
Although commonly found in Hawaii, the many types of Ginger were brought to the Hawaiian Islands from Southeast Asia. There are multiple species of ginger (Torch, shampoo, red, etc.).
Orchids in Hawai'i are mainly used to make l to welcome visitors to show a sign of hospitality. Orchids come in all different shapes and colors. Orchids were brought to Hawaii from Asia and Australia.
